To ensure your child receives the most appropriate care, our paediatricians will review your referral before scheduling an appointment.

Please obtain a referral letter from your GP and upload it on this web page.

Once we receive the referral, it will be reviewed by our paediatricians.

We will inform you within 5 business days whether we can accept your child as a new patient and proceed to book a suitable appointment.

Please note: There may be occasions when we are unable to accept new referrals due to our paediatricians being at full capacity.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the slot to another patient on our waiting list.

We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellation fees may apply if adequate notice is not given.

Where clinically appropriate, you may be able to change your appointment to a Telehealth consultation.

A valid referral is required to claim a Medicare rebate:

GP referrals are generally valid for 12 months.

Referrals from other specialists are valid for 3 months.

To ensure your child receives the most appropriate care, a GP referral must be reviewed before an initial appointment can be booked.

As a private clinic, Empower Paediatrics requires full payment on the day of your consultation.

For Telehealth appointments, the credit card you provide prior to the appointment will be automatically charged following the consultation.

We can also claim your Medicare rebate on your behalf.
